Privacy Policy

Last updated September 24, 2026

Paperless Football is a simple game. We built it so you can play without handing over anything personal. This policy covers the Paperless Football iMessage app and the website at paperlessfootball.com.

The short version

We don't collect your personal information. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking across other apps or websites.

Information you enter

When you play with a friend, you can type a name for yourself. That name is saved only on your device. It goes into the game turns you send, so your friend can see who they're playing. We never receive it.

Playing with friends

In the iMessage app, each turn is sent as a message inside your Messages conversation, just like any other message. On the website, a turn is a link that you choose to share. Turns go straight from you to your friend and never pass through a server run by us. Messages sent through Apple's Messages app are handled under Apple's privacy policy.

Settings saved on your device

The game saves a few things on your device, such as your name, whether sound is muted, and your game progress. That information stays on your device, and deleting the app or clearing your browser data removes it.

Website visit counts

On paperlessfootball.com only, we use GoatCounter. It counts page visits and a few game events (like "a game was started") so we know how the game is doing. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't collect names and doesn't follow you to other websites. GoatCounter does not run inside the iMessage app.

Purchases and tips

If the app offers a tip jar or in-app purchases, Apple handles the payment. We never see your name, card details or Apple ID. We only learn that a purchase happened, so the game can unlock what you bought.

Children

Paperless Football is for all ages. We don't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. If you're a parent and have a question, email us at paperlessfootball@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
